My story

If you've been following me for some time you know that this section use to have a story about my weight loss journey.

While I DID initially begin for weight loss, running has become so much more of that to me. Not only that, but I have also forged a deeper relationship with my body in the past year that focuses on quality of life over worries over body size, scale numbers and feeling tense about every food decision I made.

I will have to come back at some point and write about why I run.....but for now, all I can say is that running has saved me. Running is like those cool sunglasses you wear and see the ocean, sky and sand in much brighter, richer color. That is what running does to with running is much richer, much brighter. I will do all I can to continue running until I the end of my days.

Pictures and more writing to follow

  1. Thank you for being so open in your story. I think it's inspiring and motivating. I agree with starting with changing one's eating habits before exercising. I had exercised like a mad woman for 3 months straight and didn't lose a pound and that was because I didn't change what I ate.
I know I have to eat mostly fruits and veggies but I love my sugar. I also know I have to stop and grow up.
I'm very interested in running but I won't even go there until I lose a decent amount of weight first. I started running last week and I lasted 2 days before I hurt myself.

    Thanks again for your story.

  2. I just saw this...thanks for your words....nice to be able to touch others in my journey
